Fake AI plane in MSFS Marketplace

The international radio pronunciation of three IS actually tree...

Thanks for pointing that out. It drives me nuts that english native speaking controllers don't apply that. I'm not a native speaker and had to learn how to make the "th" sound without sounding like an word not allowed and it took me a while to switch that off for correct radio communication. So they could do me the same courtesy and learn how to NOT use the "th" and do it properly.

Because these are the rules. They apply to everyone.

but it makes me cringe every time I hear it

What makes me cringe in his videos is how he pronounces his "r's" in this totally overcorrected fake american accent. The guy is from Swizterland and his native language is Schwyzerdütsch. He doesn't have to pretend to be more american than the real americans, when speaking english. 😉

Sadly, imho these pretend or real low end devs generate revenue for the marketplace.  It would be hard for Microsoft to say no.  However if enough consumers are upset about false advertising, that cou

To me, what AI is being used for today is detestable. And now AI fraud has even hit flight sim. It figures. Thanks for the heads-up Ryan.

The only reason MP exist is to make money; like every other business venture in the world.

This falls squarely on Asobo and Microslop. Allowing trash like that is one thing, allowing manipulated reviews is another.

im really starting to burn out on these ai-bros. Between this and the constant bombardment of ai garbage programs that are even being shoved down our throats in this very forum makes me think we are approaching a point where it will kill any quality left in this hobby in the future.

Are you talking about SimPax? I thought that was a pretty cool idea actually.

When I watched that video (muted) to see this fake plane, there were 3 or 4 comments on his video saying the same thing!  "Why are you speaking in that ridiculously exaggerated American accent when you're Swiss?" 😊

This answer, I think, is a shallow appeal to the US audience.  As if Americans aren't capable of appreciating people with other accents.   His accent probably sounds even more fake to Americans!  I'm eastern Canadian by birth and it sounds pretty ridiculous to me.

But there are lots of content creators who do this.  Even AvAngel, who - whilst not affecting her accent - says "levver" and "rowt" for 'lever' and 'route'.  She's British and *no* Brits say "levver" or "rowt" !!    They say 'leever' and 'root'. 😊

This stuff on MP is nothing new. It was this way since it started in 2020. I bought the first few MScenery releases when I used to review aircraft on the MSFS Forum. And I was absolutely disgusted it. So, I see nothing ever changed, it just got worse. Thankfully, it seems more people are aware now and avoid MP as much as they can. I will only buy things on it that I KNOW I want and can't get elsewhere, like the TriStar I am gonna buy this week.

Better; addons with no encryption.

Unfortunately I don't know of anyone even working on it. But in XP12, we have a -200 coming in early June! I am pretty excited about it, because I enjoyed it a lot in XP11 and this is a new version. The only 73 that was meant to land on gravel strips!

Fake reviews; fake ratings; fake youtube reviews; fake web sites articles are nothing new in flight simulation; this is going round for years and years; it is all an agenda for the interest of few; bit like gangs on the streets.

Yeah him and his sidekick Josh Cahill confuse me somewhat.  I cannot pick where they are from.  They don't sound German to me.

I guess people are taught American English and the only way they get exposure to English is often American movies?  Kind of a weird, international, Youtuber accent.

I guess posting videos with a thick German, Dutch or Eastern European accent isn't great for monetization and engagement.

He actually lives near Frankfurt (GER) these days. I guess he lived in Switzerland for some time. And I'm pretty sure he was in the US for a year or so during his school days. That's where he got his thick american accent, and now he either can't get rid of it or is proud of it.

Swiss001 spent his own money on a plane that he knew was not good to show us how bad it was. He should be commended for that.

Hmm, not necessarily an altruistic move.  If he knows he can buy a t*rd, make a 'funny' video about it and get a million views and $3k from it.

I didn't click at first, because I didn't know how "fake AI" an airplane could be. Now I know and it's much worse than I thought! Do we know if it's MSScenery again, or is someone scamming the scammers? How can this ever get through MS and Asobo when they can't even release legitimate aircraft without months of waiting.

I lost interest when he called it a Seven tree seven..........

Actually, the pronunciation in aeronautical terms is correct, 3 is pronounced Tree , this was my training.  It was so there was no confusion when transmitting headings or frequencies over ATC. Maybe its changed now?? but that is a correct pronunciation.
