[RELEASED] SimPassengers Bring your MSFS 2024 cabin to life

Featured Replies

@anilcougar

So I purchased this tonight and enjoyed myself.  I recently got rid of SayIntentions so it was nice to have some cabin crew back.

A couple of bits of feedback

1.  I am not sure if the boarding autocompletes or not.  The 120/120 pax were boarded and I clicked, complete boarding.  Maybe this speeds it up.  Anyway nothing really happened until pushback, which is fine, and I guess I didn't need to click this at all.

2. My flight callsign was RYR (Ryanair), and it was spoken "RYR Airlines".  Callsigns really need to be matched with all major airlines in future.  RYR is necessary to get BATC to assign me the correct gates.

3. I was told "cabin crew seats for takeoff" at the end of my pushback.  It should be at the holding point when landing lights are turned on.

4. As soon as I rotated, which was very controlled on an almost still day, cabin crew warned of severe turbulence and told pax to put on seatbelts.  It was a completely normal departure at about 200 FT AGL, so that was a bit immersion breaking. I scored 113.4 at the end of the flight and there were no complaints about breaking vertical speed or bank angle.

5. Would it be possible to have different audio levels depending on where our camera view is?  I want cabin crew to be very quiet when I'm in the cockpit, loud when I'm in the cabin, and silent when in external view.

6. A RYR flight would not have in flight entertainment, meals etc.  Well I guess it would but it would be a paid for catering cart.

7. There seemed to be no deboarding.  On engine shutdown just an "end of flight"

I enjoyed it though.  The voices were a little bit robotic, not too bad though.  I liked the touch about enjoying Polish food and giving accurate weather when I landed and taxiid to the gate (something SI could NEVER do). It's a straightforward and decent product.  A good start.

We’ve tried to be open here about the payment provider situation we had to deal with right after release, and that pulled a lot of time away from product work over the last couple of days.

The good news is that several of the points you mentioned are already things we want to improve in the 1.0.4 pipeline (Which is coming up next week, probably Monday), especially around boarding flow, announcement timing, turbulence false positives, callsign handling, and the arrival/deboarding experience.

Your Ryanair examples are also very helpful because they show where the product needs more airline-specific behavior over time, not just generic cabin logic.

I’m glad you still enjoyed the flight overall. SimPassengers is still very early, and detailed first-flight feedback like this is exactly what helps us decide what to polish next.

Thanks again for supporting it and for writing this down.

Hello,

seems promissing, but does it work without Simbrief ? (not all simmers use this to plan the flight)

Thank you

Hi Eric,

Right now let me tell you why we need Simbrief.

1. Flight's route.
2. Flight's information (callsigns, airline names etc...)
3. Total pax onboard
4. Is departure and arrival same country (for the PA's it's needed, because if it's an international flight we'll create a different PA)
5. Possible divertions
6. Diversions based on health related stuff like (early labor, hearth attack and so on...)

So right now simbrief is like our second source of truth. But if you have any other flight planning software, we are open to suggestions. Just inform us and we'll do our best to handle it in the next builds.

Thanks

/Anil

Hi Captains,

SimPassengers v1.1.0 is now available.

This update is mainly focused on early user feedback, cabin flow improvements, and getting the update system in place for future releases.

The biggest practical change is that after installing v1.1.0, future launcher updates can be handled directly by the launcher. Since this update includes that system for the first time, this one still needs to be installed manually.

We also added our first destination event:

Let's Visit Italy
https://simpassengers.com/events/lets-visit-italy

The event runs from 11 May 2026, 09:00 UTC to 17 May 2026, 23:59 UTC.

Complete 5 valid flights to or from Italy during the event window to unlock the achievement badge.

Domestic flights inside Italy and repeated routes do not count.

This update also adds Windows native notifications for events, achievements, and important SimPassengers announcements. These will appear as normal Windows notifications when available.

Cabin flow also received a lot of attention in this update.

After landing and arriving at the gate, SimPassengers now has a proper deboarding phase. Cabin crew will disarm slides, passengers will begin deboarding, and if you stay through the full deboarding process instead of skipping straight to End Flight, you will receive a small bonus.

We also improved the takeoff cabin crew PA timing. The "cabin crew, be seated for takeoff" announcement now waits for a more realistic point in the flow: boarding completed, taxi started, and landing lights on.

A few other things improved in v1.1.0:

- the in-sim panel now shows when a new launcher version is available
- fixed cases where cabin PAs could get stuck or overlap because multiple simulator connections were active
- added a much larger airline name database, including active and inactive airlines
- airline names should now be spoken more correctly, including older or no longer active airlines
- improved domestic arrival and deboarding wording
- fixed the "fwd galley" text being read too literally
- reduced false turbulence triggers around rotation and early climb

We also spent time looking into camera-based PA audio levels, for example lower PA volume in cockpit view, higher in cabin view, and silent in external view.

The idea makes sense, but at the moment this is not reliable enough across the simulator.

Some aircraft expose cockpit and cabin camera information properly, some do not. Some aircraft also have separate cabin and no-cabin variants. Drone camera makes it even harder, because the user can visually move into the cabin while the simulator does not always expose that as a normal cabin view.

So for now, we are not changing PA volume automatically based on camera view. We do not want to make it work for a few aircraft and make it behave badly for many others.

You can still adjust PA audio levels from the launcher settings.

Airline-specific meal and beverage service, and better handling for IFE, are also still in our pipeline. Low-cost carriers should not feel the same as full-service airlines, and this is something we want to improve over time.

Download v1.1.0 from simpassengers.com. Login with your account and download from your dashboard.

Thanks again for the feedback during the first days after release. A lot of this update came directly from real flights and comments from the community.

ps: I'm not very good with visuals, so the poster may look a bit sluggish so please don't roast me 🙂

That works fine, if you record it and post on youtube that'd be great as a I may or may not be available whenever you and your team go live.

Ultimately I just want a video showing the product off, it doesn't need to fancy or flashy, just to see if this is something that'll interest me.

Ok got it and deal.

I will try to keep it simple and make a short hop, even our current event (Let's visit Italy) is very suitable for this. Ok that's on me.

Thanks a lot Doug, really appreciate that.

To be honest, SimPassengers started as something I was building for myself. I wanted this kind of cabin and passenger layer in my own flights.

Then at some point it became obvious that it could be a real product, so we decided to ship it properly under ACE Solutions.

But I am still one of you guys. I am a simmer at heart, and I think that helps a lot with this product. The small immersion breaks, the PA timing, the cabin flow, the things that feel natural or unnatural during a flight, those are things I care about as a user too.

So we will keep listening, keep replying where we can, and keep improving it with the community.

Thanks again, comments like this really mean a lot.

ps: A freeware tool from ACE Solutions is coming up shortly. I'm pretty sure you guys will love it too 🙂

I would definitely try SI. I use it and although ATC still has a few issues, they are sending updates weekly and for me as an airline pilot, I absolutely love the ability to get calls from the FA informing us of pax having medical issue, misbehaving pax, etc. You can talk to your FA like a real captain and ask the questions we would ask IRL. The FA will respond to you appropriately. I havent used the virtual FO as there are some limitations and I use FS2Crew. I want to applaud Anil for his upcoming tool and wish him all the best!
