Ok, just flew a sector in the Caravan from Burlington, VT to Newport State.

I am definitely not hearing the hiss sound that was in your video.

I've also explored the sound.cfg for the aircraft and there is nothing related to that type of sound.

Unless FSRealistic is completely off (bear in mind that it usually auto-starts), I can only guess that that is the source of the sound (or some other app not directly related to the BS Caravan).

I haven't got the Caravan so I can't test but on your video there are some clicking sounds that are noticeable about 4-5 seconds before the sighs. After the sigh those clicks stop and then start up again a few seconds before the next sigh.

Sure, I've been aware of those sounds too. I assumed they were some slight rattles the developer had added to the soundset of the aircraft. I think I'll reinstall the aircraft.

Howard, can you categorically confim that you've tested the Caravan with FSRealistic 100% not running?

The hiss sound isn't part of the BS Caravan's sound suite, so it can't be coming from the core aircraft package.

I guess an uninstall/reinstall might be a good idea, in case it's some other sound that has been corrupted.

Hi Bill, absolutely. I deleted FSR in the task manager, so it definitely wasn't running. I'll reinstall tomorrow and let you know how I get on. If it's no different, I'll contact support. Cheers.

Good that FSRealistic is ruled out 👍

I think the most likely cause is some sort of corruption on the install, that is causing a fraction of one of the sound files to 'blip' (or sigh 🙂). Reinstall sounds a good plan and if not, Nick will confirm / resolve for sure, on the JF Black Square forum.
