May 23May 23 Hi everyone,This is my first post here on AVSIM, so first of all, thanks for reading. The flight sim community has been awesome, and I really appreciate the chance to share this here. :)I wanted to introduce FlyHub, a flight simulation companion app I have mostly developed on my own, with some help from fellow developers I have worked with in the past.FlyHub is built for Microsoft Flight Simulator 2020/2024 and X-Plane 12, and it has now been available for around 4 months. In that time, it has grown to over 3,000 registered users, with a lot of great feedback from the community. We also have a Discord with almost 800 members, so if you want to follow development, give feedback, report issues, or suggest features, you are very welcome to join. The app is built around two main ways to fly: Free Flight Mode and Career Mode. Both modes use schedule information for more than 230 airlines, with data that has been made possible thanks to the support of users who have joined so far, along with some personal investment to help the project get off the ground.Free Flight Mode is the flexible side of FlyHub.You can browse airline schedules, book flights, build single or multi-leg itineraries, track your flights, use the calendar, fly tours, grow your logbook, earn XP, and fly at your own pace. It is meant for pilots who want better tracking and planning tools without being locked into a strict career economy. The free Cadet plan includes core flight tracking, the Dashboard, Schedules, Calendar, Tours, five weekly rotating airlines, one monthly airline choice, and unlimited logbook history. For pilots who want something much deeper, FlyHub also includes a structured Career Mode.Career Mode is separate from Free Flight and is designed more like a long-term airline pilot career. You create your pilot, choose a difficulty, join an airline, select a base, complete interviews, sign contracts, train on aircraft, earn type ratings, fly assignments, manage your money, build reputation, gain seniority, and work your way toward better jobs and promotions.Career Mode includes systems such as:Airline employment, contracts, and company progressionCareer dispatch and assignment generation based on your airline, aircraft, base, ratings, and situationCalendar-based roster planningType ratings, training flights, and checkridesJob market, applications, interviews, passive offers, promotions, and transfersSeniority, rank progression, and airline movementMonthly bid board and route biddingReserve duty, jumpseat/repositioning, and fatigue pressureSalary, expenses, rent, taxes, loans, medical checks, and payroll historyReputation, performance reviews, strikes, resignation penalties, and long-term consequencesCareer notifications, profile, CV, achievements, leaderboards, and logbook progressionAnd honestly, quite a bit more.Outside of the career system, FlyHub also includes real-time simulator telemetry tracking, flight phase detection, flight recovery support, SimBrief integration, METAR/weather awareness, Discord Rich Presence, live traffic map, in-sim overlay messages, and detailed post-flight scoring. The scoring system looks at things like landing rate, touchdown G-force, runway alignment, touchdown zone, unstable approaches, overrun or excursion checks, bounce detection, lights, gear, altimeter, and other penalty breakdowns. There is also a Scenery Scanner that can detect installed airport scenery across MSFS 2020, MSFS 2024, and X-Plane 12. This can be used by the route planning system so you can prefer or require routes that use airports where you actually have scenery installed. For streamers, FlyHub also includes a built-in OBS/browser-source overlay system that can show live flight data such as callsign, network, aircraft, origin, destination, altitude, ground speed, heading, vertical speed, ETA, progress, status, and flight phase. It also supports custom colors, CSS, layouts, and dual-PC/LAN setups.FlyHub has also been showcased by different YouTubers and streamers across the community, including English, German, Spanish, and Polish-speaking creators. If you want to see the app in action before trying it, there are already a few previews and videos available:https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=YJGpkkdbTCU&t=1002shttps://www.youtube.com/watch?v=71DFHt1OMLQ&t=320shttps://www.youtube.com/watch?v=atZSOUQd4bY&t=181sYou can also find some FlyHub previews through Steve Ellis’ Twitch channel if you follow him — yes, the creator of BA Virtual.I have also made some tutorials myself that show different parts of what FlyHub offers:https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=JtnQWu_GHqMhttps://www.youtube.com/watch?v=2-IlgTrcdRwhttps://www.youtube.com/watch?v=SEnamRM5QQAhttps://www.youtube.com/watch?v=S339QClIRGoFlyHub supports full telemetry tracking on PC with MSFS and X-Plane, and there is also a manual/offline tracker for console users or for setups where telemetry is not available. You can try FlyHub here:https://flyhub.appYou can also download it from Flightsim.to:https://flightsim.to/addon/105102/flyhub-airline-career-telemetry-and-flight-tracking-platformDocs are available here:https://docs.flyhub.appI would really appreciate feedback from the AVSIM community, especially from pilots who enjoy airline operations, realistic schedules, dispatch planning, career progression, or long-term logbook building. Thanks again for reading. :)Sebastian
May 23May 23 Yes ... it's the usual "teaser". Limited functionality in free mode then subscription for the "real meat" of the app. I can't say I blame the developers, but I'm getting rather tired of these "clickbait" apps that end up trying to lock you into some sort of subscription scheme. Like many people out there these days, I have limited funds and all these subscriptions add up. I'd much rather budget for a one-off/lifetime payment (as and when, or if I can afford it). May 23May 23 Looks like a commercial to me. And that for a first post ;-)You can try it 1st then say anything. This app aooder more then you think. Most app like this only wants your money for nothing. Here you have huge database and many modes to try out. If you like to fly only one airline free mode is more then enough

Free mode for some1 who fly only one airline is more then enough with full database of that airline(routes etc) and not its not a clickbait at all. I am using this app more couple of months now and the person behind this is active and try to listen people there.

Just to clarify, it’s definitely not meant to be a teaser, a lot is already available on the free plan. The subscription exists to help make the project sustainable long term, especially because the airline data I update every month comes with ongoing costs.Data is what drives the cost of apps like this. It’s expensive, and there’s a reason why services like FSLTL lost access to FR24 data. This kind of data is widely used across the industry, so maintaining access to it comes at a real cost.
May 23May 23 It looks like it offers a lot.I'm tired of thinly-veiled commerncial posts on AVSIM .... but, this one had a lot of good information and I liked the devs transparent attitude. If there's a free version, great! If the payware options are subscription then that's me out. I hate subscription models and would only consider this if there was a single-payment payware option. That's just my feedback. I hope the dev will consider this - users are very sensitive to subscription model pricing these days. It's increasing and I think some devs feel we will be happy to be paying money every month to 10 or 15 different flight sim addon devs. I don't think many users want that.As a business, residual income is like a dream. It's the best form of income. But for users to accept this offering, the product must truly offer a recurring benefit to them. May 23May 23 Looks nice and I am in the market for something like this but there is no way I’m get a subscription. Sorry. Ron Hamilton "95% is half the truth, but most of it is lies, but if you read half of what is written, you'll be okay." __ Honey Boo Boo's Mom
May 23May 23 Yea, this sounds like a nice career addon. But the subscription model is a real bummer. A one-time purchase of $25-30 would be doable for me. I understand the schedule data cost money. Maybe check how the developer of "A Pilots Life 2" handles their schedule data with his Career addon. It might be a better option cost wise? Edited May 23May 23 by F1Fan

Bunch of selfish pplReally? Well that explains why they don't charge $$$ for it. They are old schedules I guess. Still, IMO, I rather have some semblance of a schedule new or old than nothing at all if it means no subscription. I'm not that OCD about having the need for "Real World" updated schedules in a sim. But that's me, others may disagree and that's ok.
May 25May 25 I'm 50 hours into my career with EWG and it's really fun. So much fun that i quit using APL2 50 hours ago. And also in the 50 hours the career mode did get constant additions like fatigue and just recently you have to be on time according to your flight plan and have to have enough fuel left when landing. I like it a lot. And Hyno is a hell of a developer. Very fast and very open. If you are on the discord server, you really have the feeling you are part of the development and can have an impactIn comparison to APL2 it feels for me at the moment less like grinding Edited May 25May 25 by flieger28
