Hej, does that livery also have the 'D-EEDL' textured into it?

Or are the duplicate regs both coming from MSFS's dynamic registration field?

From the pic, it looks like the large text is on the livery, and the small is from MSFS?

I haven't seen that artifact when I've flown it. Is it the Bagolu C172M?

I dont know, it looks exactly the same, no matter if i enter a registration manually or the field stays empty.

I always see the "double" registration.

Downside: If i dont enter a reg in the aircraft configuration page, then Volanta does not recognize the aircraft correctly. I have flown it many hours in MSFS2020.

I have some custom liveries working just fine on the Reims Rocket without over-writing the painted tail number. I used a panel folder with entries to reduce the size of the dynamic tail number to zero. Do you know how to do that? If not, I could send you an example.

172 Bagalou. I entered D-EEDL in the msfs change aircraft | "Configure" | Identification box. msfs2024.

ok, now here is the trick.

Next, instead, I entered (ALT key 255) in the msfs change aircraft | "Configure" | Identification box.

and this happens:

No tail number at all! If there had been a tail number in the livery, then it would show and msfs would add nothing on top of it (because I entered Alt-255 instead of D-EEDL in the box).

Alt-255 is the trick !

My setup permits the aircraft to wear the painted tail number on the rear fuselage in whatever style and size you want, and then have MSFS2024 place the tail number (the same as the painted tail number entered manually in the Identification field) on the lower left wing and on the cockpit placard. I'll see if I can send some screen shots in a DM.

Hi ozzieblr, i have already set the size of the external ID to 0,0 (as Gemini told me). But effect = 0, it still looks like on my screenshot.

I will now first delete the addon and reinstall it in the community folder and see if this helps.

Problem still there. Fresh installation.

The registration is the smaller, blurry one and this appears every time i enter something in the "Tail Number" under "identification".

@Paladin2005 : you're correct, only some of the default Reims Rocket liveries, like the Reims Rocket N7774J, have proper dynamic registration. The rest, like the D-EEDL or the D-EEZU, appear to have fixed registration, and if you try to use the dynamic registration to add your own, it will appear underneath the fixed registration, as you noticed.

I didn't try all the available default liveries, so you may need to go through yourself to find out which have proper dynamic registration.

I don't know if there's anyway to fix the fixed registration liveries, and make them dynamic. I think all you could do is speak to the dev, or either do yourself, or get someone to do, your desired livery with dynamic registration.
