S.I. ATC For v2024

Featured Replies

Does anyone know if it offer ATC chatter enroute or how can it be increased?

It's too quiet for me. 😁

You'll be better off asking on their discord I think.

If you go into the pilot portal of SI and then to settings/ traffic injection settings, further down the page are sliders to add chatter. The planes don't actually exist but you have more chatter to listen to. I agree that they need to increase enroute traffic injection.

This always happens. I asked a question and a few minutes later I discovered that there are settings in the portal that need to be enabled.

I must say that my 1st flight was very good experience.

Let's see if the next flight is just as much fun!

Over the past week or so, they’ve made some major improvements. Still needs work though, but overall it’s very good. I’d highly recommend trying out the IRIS voice engine. Response times are very very good, lots of chatter (mostly planes checking in, getting climb and descent clearances). Compared to where it was just a week ago, it feels like a new product. I’d say they are about 60% there, still needs some more nuanced attention to make it the full way. But IMO it just inched past BATC as far as the ATC side of the program goes. BATC has vastly better traffic control and fluidity, but the ATC to user interactions feel much better in SI.

V1ROTATE, I'm guessing United Airlines.

The ATC chatter is a mess. I see why it's disabled on initial install.

I was able to do a couple of IFR flights.

I have not tried the VFR portion.

24 hours is not enough time to fully test this complex add-on. Maybe, I'll try it again in 6 months.

Maybe by then BATC will finally get fixed. For me, the last update, was a step in the wrong direction.
