Looking very nice there, Albaro. I will be looking forward to this one. Nice cockpit also. Glad that Bill Gabrowsky is helping out with the panel section. This will be a super combo.Take care,Udo.:-wavewww.YeoDesigns.com

I'd hardly call it "Bill helping out with the panel" It's more like I'm making this plane for Bill's panel :-hah I had seen his panel development shots in his ERJ support forum and it's what initially motivated me to start an MD-11, since there had been no recent MD-11 released for FS.Difficult as it may be to model the aircraft Bill has it far worse, he's an artist, I am not.Another shothttp://thescorned.homestead.com/front.jpg

Since I still suck at texture mapping (wish I had something better than MS Paint to edit textures) I can only show her naked for now.http://thescorned.homestead.com/shot.jpg"Taking her for a little spin, be back in 10 hours"

You are not an artist ?? Are you kidding me ? I would suggest you take a nice hard look at your model again. If you still think you are not an artist than, maybe I should quit !! You ARE an artist, believe me.Take care,Udo.:-wave

Got rid of the gaps, thanks to those who gave me couple of tips!http://thescorned.homestead.com/noseclose.jpgBut of course I need to change those windows a little anyway, so I'll have to close more gaps later on. http://www.templeofchaos.com/~blackhawk/images/dj.gifIs that your DHC above Phlem! Looks great! To me modeling aircraft is not an art per se like painting or sculpture, but more like the aesthetic and functional responsibility that comes with architechture.

You sound like an Architect !! Modeling is a an art form in itself. Even if you are recreating something that already exists, it is still a bit of skill if you can make it as close to the original as possible. Given the limits within FS, ofcourse. Remember, the word Art can be interpreted in many ways. Everything you create or recreate is considered as an art form.Yes, the DHC-6 is mine. It is a Yeodesigns project I am working on. Take care,Udo.:-wavewww.YeoDesigns.com

Hey that's looking great! I can't wait to fly it. I have a question though. In the screenshot below, I want to make a transparent winshield like you have on you MD-11, but I only know how to cut the windows out on one side. With the winshield I will have to go around from the side of the plane to the front of the plane. How can I do this??? Please help me out!http://www.fs2002.com/images/sc_1.jpg

Aspen did you get the email I sent you with the links to the tutorials on www.daviator.com?The technique described there for cutting out windows and doors in FSDS2 is the one I used. It's impossible really to just explain it to you in words here, but the tutorial will tell and SHOW you how it's done, it really is great. Just like you deleted out the polygons on the side to make room for the window, do the same for the front facing polygons, place the window, then rebuild from there (tutorial again goes through it step by step).
