Digital flap gauge indicator

Recommended Posts

Looking for some help from some of the master gauge gurus here. I want to make a digital flap indicator that appears on in windscreen for my landing panel {forward window} and shows current flaps position. Flaps are up,1,5,15,20,25 and 30. I will make it a popup gauge {that I can do!}Also if possible with a blue or green color........Any ideas?Best Wishes, Randy J. Hello Etienne, ok got it working! One question for you. It's off between flaps 0 thru 5. So I have up=0, 1 goes to 5 for some weird reason and when I get to 15 it syncs. Any ideas?Thanks againBest Wishes, Randy J. be the FDE. Check the &l;FLAPS&r; section in your aircraft.cfg for the correct values. It shouldn't be that way.Make sure it looks like this:

&l;FLAPS&r;&l;...&r;flaps-position.0 =  0flaps-position.1 =  1flaps-position.2 =  5flaps-position.3 = 15flaps-position.4 = 20flaps-position.5 = 25flaps-position.6 = 30&l;...&r;

Just for you information, how the thing works. There is some 'tolerance' factor implemented to compensate not 100% correct FDE. Like this:If the flaps are >27, it shows 30. If they are between 23 and 27, it shows 25. If they are between 17 and 23, it shows 20. And so on. But it should work with the above values in the aircraft.cfg.Etienne :-wavePS. Since it was somewhat unrealistic having it always on, it will now respond to the Master Battery switch. Furthermore I made the background transparent for better panel integration. URL stays the same as above.

Thank you very very much!!!Here is my flaps FDE settings: flaps-position.0=0.000000,0.000000flaps-position.1=4.999057,0.000000flaps-position.2=9.998114,0.000000flaps-position.3=14.997170,0.000000flaps-position.4=19.996227,0.000000flaps-position.5=24.995284,0.000000flaps-position.6=29.994341,0.000000 If I change it to what you said flaps 1 it won't work right. Weird is flaps 15-30 do sync. Also, FS panel Studio does not like your gauge :). I don't understand it's type since it's a XML but not in the normal since I am use to? Also the background still shows as black.Best Wishes, Randy J. Weird, weird. It works for me with the values I posted. :-hmmm In your aircraft.cfg it seems the values are 0, 5, 10, 15, 20, 25, 30 and not 0, 1, 5, 15, 20, 25, 30.How should FS Panel Studio like my gauge?? It ain't XML, it's pure C. :-)Strange. Don't really know. What a/c are you using? Filename?Etienne :-wave

No it's 0,1,5,15,20,25 and 30. It's PIC 767. I have the VFR panel on the Library. I did notice if I change the values to the ones you have the gear indicator only extends halfway to slot 1. Since PIC is so complicated I will not mess with it for fear of messing something up. Sorry about thinking it was an XML gauge. I just thought anything with ! in it was thus.Best Wishes, Randy J.
