Looking for Andreas Jaros....

Recommended Posts

...formerly of FPDG. Andreas, I would like to use the bitmap from your A320 FS2002 panel in a freeware release. The panel is designed for users who would like a simplified, more intuitive panel for the A320 based largely on default gauges but incorporating a few nice updates (used by permission). Please E-mail me with your response.http://www.expedia.com/pubspec/images/airlines/smNW.gifAlex ChristoffN562ZMinneapolis, MNhttp://forums.avsim.com/user_files/6269.jpghttp://forums.avsim.com/user_files/6270.jpg

I haven't heard from him in ages (I've also lost his address), but as a member of FPDA (the site is down - in fact I don't know if it actually exists anymore!) I will give you permission to use the files - providing of course that proper credit is given to Andi. How about doing an alternate view in that package that gives more of a pilots perspective?Good luck.http://www.dreamfleet2000.com/gfx/images/F...BANNER_PAUL.jpg

Paul:Thanks for your permission to use the panel bitmap, and of course I will give credit to Andi for his past work. Unfortunately, I'm not sophisticated enough to tweak out that pilot's perspective you suggest, so for now I think I'll just release it the way you see it, with some 2-D internal cockpit views to enhance the experience a little. I'm probably going to do an A340 panel as well, and maybe we can experiment with that pilot's perspective then. Care to make any suggestions to me on how to do it?Have a Great Week,http://www.expedia.com/pubspec/images/airlines/smNW.gifAlex ChristoffN562ZMinneapolis, MN

For the pilots view, I'd slide the panel bitmap over to the right so that the PFD and ND are in the centre. Hopefully, the pic's you have for the left 45 deg view are crisp enough to be used to fill in the gap that you'll have on the left of the panel after moving it over..........might need some manipulation to get it to look right. Here's how it looks in the A310 I did.http://www.blandreynolds.btinternet.co.uk/pilot.jpg All the best,http://www.blandreynolds.btinternet.co.uk/DF_PG_sm.gif

Paul:So do you use photoshop to join and smooth the images together? And by the way, that's a very nice panel in your photo. Is that your A310 panel? Is it available in the file library? Questions, questions....I'll give this all a try on my A340 panel. I'd also like to try and come up with something for the A380 too. Someone just shared the link to a site devoted to images of the A380 panel, and there were some nice graphics and schematics to work from, provided the authors are willing to let me use their images.Regards, http://www.expedia.com/pubspec/images/airlines/smNW.gifAlex ChristoffN562ZMinneapolis, MN
