Slow flight Issue!!! Help...

Recommended Posts

Guest CX330_CPA Virtual

Hey all. I've been building the A340 air file from scratch and yesterday I started testing the plane's performance in slow flight and especially during the approaches. And something really weird surfaced...Whenever I extend flaps in slow flight, like on approach for example, the plane goes into this really steep dive, which is quite controllable but definitely should not be taking place. Which records in the air file I should be looking at to fix this? Is this too much lift for flaps [CL_Df]? Or pitch moment / flaps [CM_Df] is too high? Anything else? I seem to be a little lost here. I will apreciate all opinions.Cheers.

Hey CX330 CPA Virtual.I am glad you frequent that forum, and also glad you figured out the problem. Are you also building the visual model for the A340? Or you paired up with someone that has, and are just working on the flight dynamics? Or perhaps you are just doing the FD by yourself? In any case, I am glad, for we need some good ones. Keep us posted.
