XML "parallel to runway" main gear boggie

Recommended Posts

Guest dongmo

Hello, this is my first attempt to add custom xml stuffs to my models. To make the gear stay parallel to the runway when on ground and during rotation, i add those lines between the codes of the xml new part.(A:SIM ON GROUND, bool) 1 == if{(A:PLANE PITCH DEGREES, degree) 5 * } els{0} and i set up a range of 40

i am not sure. but i think A:plane pitch degree give a negative result. you should multiplie by -5 to get backa positive result for a keyframe setting...tom

Firstly, Tom is right about the pitch: positive pitch will be displayed as a negative number . So: pitch up 5 degrees, will be displayed as -5.Secondly, ALWAYS use a "space" after a { and before a }.Otherwise the if/els opening/closing is not recognised. So:(A:SIM ON GROUND, bool) 1 ==if{ (A:PLANE PITCH DEGREES, degree) 5 * }els{ 0 }Also note (but that's my preference), for boolean variables:"(A:SIM ON GROUND, bool)" is "(A:SIM ON GROUND, bool) 1 =="and"(A:SIM ON GROUND, bool) !" is "(A:SIM ON GROUND, bool) 0 =="Rob Barendregt
