Idle is too hight: turboprop taking off at idle throttle!!

Recommended Posts

Hi There!!I have the interesting problem that my P-166 plane is able to take off at idle thrust..:-eek ..it's a small twin prop (big almost like a Cessna Caravan) powered by two PT-6A-121 rated at 615 SHP... indeeed an STOL aircraft performing a max speed of 250 KIAS with great acceleration for takeoff (real data there...)!! but it should taker off only if you PUSH FORWARD THE THROTTLE...:-bluegrab..IT REACHES THE v1 AT 80 KIAS AFTER HALF THE RUNWAY...then with little effort you can go around the runway at 100 ft altitude and land again at 0

You got some joystick? Might be the problem in conjunction w/ t-props. Try pressing F1 once, don't touch the stick and see if it still happens.

Mariopilot, have you looked at the turbine properties in the aircraft.cfg file? Get the panel.SDK from MS for explanations. Cheers, don
