Posky 757 VC question...

Recommended Posts

Can anyone tell me why the cockpit lights in the VC are synchronized with the landing lights. Is there anyway to correct this seeing as the gauges go dark at night with the landing lights are turned off.Thanks...

White means that the LL control the VC lighting, whereas pure black will be controlled by the "other light busses."Look in the texture folder for any _L.bmp files that sound like they might be for the VC gauge poly lighting, and open 'em up in DXTBMP to see what color the alpha channel is. :)

Hey Bill, just checked your recommendation and it looks like the alpha channel is correct (it's black). To give you a better understanding of the problem what I ment above was the VC lights (no matter what the landing lights are set to) don't have the problem. The problem is the gauges (PFD, ND, etc.) go dark when the landing lights are turned off. The VC night light texture is still on, it's just the gauges themselves that have an issue.

In that case then, the gauges themselves may be incorrectly coded. This should NOT be happening... :(However, since I don't have that particular a/c available here, I've got no way of testing that hypothesis by installing those gauges in a test a/c of my own devising where I can control all the variables EXCEPT the internal coding of the gauges themselves...
