tip : the FS9.cfg can use XML commands directly in the Joysticks section !!! The commands donot show up in the UI for use nor do they show up in the UI if using a command that is not in the list. But it DOES work !! Did not try L:vars though, doesnt really look like it would as the commands mimick format. Hi Roman,Although your observation is correct, just a little correction :-)These FS commands/controls you mention have nothing to do with XML itself, other than that they can also be used in XML gauges. (in XML terms, FS controls are called "Events", with the same name). The feature of assigning FS controls directly in the main .cfg file was already possible in FS98/FS2000 (or earlier ??) before XML was even implemented in FS.And as an addition: the same applies for assigning FS controls to keyboard keys (in the Keyboard section). And you are right: only a (Microsoft-defined) subset of all FS controls can be assigned via the menu Options-Controls-Assignments.By the way: Pause and ReloadUserAircraft CAN be assigned via the menu :-)Cheers, Rob
