Problem with edited panels crashing FS9

Recommended Posts

Guest CornHusker1215

Hi, New to all of this modeling.Just go FSPS and edited a GIV panel by changing the bitmap a little and adding a few guages. Saved all my work, ran it through the checker in FSPS, a-ok. Added the panel to the GIV. But, whenever I try to load the airplane on FS9, it crashes. The thing doesn't get beyond 0% loaded.Any ideas?

The most likely cause is that one of the gauges you have added to the panel is looking for a shared variable to be provided by another gauge. Only problem is that you haven't included that second gauge in the panel, so its shared variable isn't defined. When the gauge you are trying to load attempts to read from an undefined variable, the sim crashes. The only solution here is to either remove the offending gauge, or add the one it is dependent on.Doug
