VC to 2D - Possible?

Recommended Posts

Guest rafvr

Hi allI recently installed a great stoll aircraft Antonov AN-14 (an14ussr.zip)but unfortunately because the author prefers to fly in a VC cockpit he is not producing a 2D version I have scoured the net but cannot find a 2D version so would ask you - is it possble to convert the vc to 2d. My opologies if this is either obvious or stupid but I am a very non-technical elderly idiot and I really would like to fly this kite in 2DOh yeah - if it is possible does anyone know or can recommend someone who could tackle this conversion? Many thanks & regardsGeorge Aldridge

It is possible. Although I'm not sure I'm the one who can do the job for you. Basicly you are just painting a panel and placing the gauges you want on it in the panel cfg. file, and telling it you have a 2d window. I don't have this plane yet but will go download it and see what I can come up with and get back to you on it. I'm a rookie so I won't promise anything. JohnnyV

>Basicly you are just painting a panel and...To make painting easier, you can make a high quality screenshot of your VC (put the VC into the most convenient view position, set AA, AF and VC quality to max, select the highest possible resolution of your screen...), convert this screenshot into .bmp format and use it as base for your painting. If you have a high res VC you even don't have to do much painting.Wolfgang
