Inverting polys/faces??

Recommended Posts

Hey guys, going mad here. Been working in 3DSMax and for the life of me I can not figure out how to imnvert a poly. For instance, to take the exterior fuse and select the polys and invert to make the inside. I assume it is similar to Gmax so I was hoping someone here had a clue.Regards, MichaelKDFWhttp://www.calvirair.com/mcpics/mcdcvabanner.jpgCalVirAir International

>Thanks Bill, guess Gmax and 3DSmax are a bit different after>all since I see no "flip normals" on the drop down, BUT, I>wasn't looking for "normals" before so that helped, thanks!Don't look in the "Top Bar Menu" for this! You won't find it... Use the rollout menus on the right side of the screen...The "rollouts" are virtually identical. In E-Mesh mode, select Polygon sub-level, select all polys, check off the "Show Normals", now......scroll down - down - down - down - all the way to "Surface Properties" In that sub-rollout you will see a big, honking "button" cleverly labeled "Flip" ;)In E-Poly mode, select the Element sub-level, select Element(s) as desired, then scroll down - down - down - to the "Edit Elements" sub-rollout, click once on the "Flip" button.
