Guest Checkmate

Is it possible to "add" something to an existing aircraft model? For instance: Could you repaint a 747 to NASA livery and add the mounting brackets for the shuttle.Or put a winch on the side of a Coast Guard chopper?Just curious.

Only if you have the aircraft's source (i.e. gmax or fsds). There is no means to decompile an aircraft into its source, except for a few very ancient FS98 style aircraft for which was written a crude utility. -John

Do you happen to know where I can find this utility? I have a few aircraft I released for FS5 (later converted to FS98) which I have long since lost the source to. Even though they are really low-res, I wouldnt mind being able to get at the source data.Dan

I can't recall the name for the utility I'm afraid. It was an old DOS based utility and I believe it decompiled to SCASM code, but I'm not certain that's how it worked.-John
