Terrain height at GPS coordinate

Does anyone know what the reference point of real life radio altimeters is?Can anyone point me to a description of the structure of the terrain BGL files?The Reality-xp gauge does look nice. I speculate that it uses an algorithm to extact contour lines from the BGL files. I'm aware there are several algorithms that were developed in association with geographical database systems.

Ah yes that makes sense (and the video was great!). I had wondered why your arrow was off so much, but that's because I assumed you were using it on the localizer or something.Looking good!--Jon
