Can anyone explain why when moving the mouse over the following gauge the string "Airbrake switch" is displayed? It seems to work correctly otherwise. (I've put a space in the Value line to avoid the smiley.) (A:Eng1 oil temperature, farenheit)

cant really say why yours does not work. i do not use the presets, ifound a tooltip routine that displays what ever you want as a literal string. ENG1 OIL TEMP "can be any text you want between the > < heres the routine if you want to display different text based on a value. %((L:var, bool) ) %{if}(text1 here)%{else}(text2 here)%{end}orENG1 OIL TEMP%(A:Eng1 oil temperature,FAHRENHEIT)%will show the identity and the oil temp on mouse over

At a guess, I'd say it's because you spelled farenheit incorrectly... ;)>ID="TOOLTIPTEXT_ENG1_OIL_TEMPERATURE_FAHRENHEIT"/>ID="TOOLTIPTEXT_ENG1_OIL_TEMPERATURE_FARENHEIT"/>Get the extra "H" out of the word...

>Thanks Bill. It's so obvious once someone else has pointed it>out :(It happens to everyone. See my reply to Nick Pike regarding the "Transparency" and "Transparent" attribute issue with CTD on some systems.I never even THOUGHT of looking for the hexadecimal version of the same attribute, #000000... ;)
