Special colours with functionality

Recommended Posts

What colours have special functions in XML coding? Is there a list somewhere? For example,1,1,1 is used for mask bitmaps, 0,0,0 is transparent. Are there any other colours that are reserved for special functions?cheersNick

Actually, black (and shades of grey for alpha channels) is the only color I know of that are reserverd by the sim.I use mask color of 5,5,5 as its too hard to see the difference between 0,0,0 and 1,1,1 in PS, but it still looks black in the sim.CheersShad

I make masks bright red or yellow. That makes them easy to see in FS for positioning. After getting them located properly, then turn them into 1,1,1.Or, I use the 1,1,1 color but outline the mask in a bright color. This is quickly done in PSP by selecting the mask, thenSelections/Modify/ContractChoose 1-pixel from the popup box, then,Selections/Invert.This causes a one-pixel border around the mask to be selected. Then paint only the border using a bright color. This is easily done by setting the background color in the Materials pallet to the bright color. Any selection that is deleted will assume the background color. So, just delete the one-pixel border to color it. This allows the outline of the mask to be seen easily for positioning. When located correctly, then turn the color border to 1,1,1.Glenn
