i really want to know what is the best design sofware for FSX, can we still produce a fully working aircraft for FSX using 3Dmax ? i am very familiar with gmax, does the microsoft SDK exporter plugins work with 3Dmax ? thanks in advance...

Yeap, 3DSMax 8 is the way to go, but it is very expensive. Worth every penny, if you can afford it. If not, GMax will do the job.

Oddly enough, I have Max8, and it works great, but......quite honestly, I much prefer GMax v1.2 for FS modeling! ;)I much prefer both the Material Library and the Material Editor GUI in GMax over Max8's somewhat "clunkier and less user friendly" GUI.
