Transparency and CTD

Hi all,this is happening in FS9 and not in FSX.The XML line from one of my gauges,can cause a CTD, especially if the graphics card is by ATIInterestingly, the linefrom the default GPS500 gauge does not cause a problem.Any ideas?cheers,Nick

Remove the LineWidth.

Nick, I reported on this issue over a year ago now. I had to abandon the use of the opaque dimming masks for just that reason.Well, actually, I supplied two versions of the gauge: one with and another without, and left the customer to make the swap if they had problems with transparency... :-eek I even wrote to Susan Ashlock directly and she didn't have a clue either... *:-*

Thanks Bill. Although this appears not to be a problem in FSX, so maybe your words did not fall on stoney ground after all. This mainly happens with ATI cards, not sure if you can read anything from this fact.cheers,nick

This mainly happens with ATI cards, not sure if you can>read anything from this fact.Oddly enough Nick, I never had the problem with my ATI Radeon X700 Pro card.It wasn't until ready for beta testing that the problem appeared, and then on a variety of systems with a random mix of ATI and nVidea cards.
