Adding an APU

Recommended Posts

Hi all,I would like to add a working APU to my custom FS9 Lear 45 panel. The APU comes as standard equipment on a real 45 but MS didn't put one in.I have looked on the web and found no answer to how to add an APU switch that works. I want to sit on the tarmac and listen to ground and the tower for a bit while I plan my route. I would like an APU that uses some fuel too for realism. Is this possible? Thanks in advance, dolph98

The FSX Airbus A321 has an APU switch that works, but the APU does not consume fuel. That button is coded in FSX XML but could easily be translated to C or to FS9 XML.The fuel stuff would be difficult to implement and might not work properly all the time. The fuel calculations could be included in an update section of a gauge but would then be dependent on that gauge being regularly updated at a more or less fixed rate otherwise you would have to mess with interval timing.

Oh. Thanks. I reckon it's easier to extend battery life through FSUIPC registered, eh?
