Specifying a path to stock gauges

Recommended Posts

Guest fbnweoghnwd

For an aircraft I'm creating, I've got this line in the panel.cfg: gauge08=Robinson_R22!RPM, 401, 388, 145, 145The idea is to use the default Robinson R-22's RPM gauge. But the gauge doesn't show up in the panel, because the R-22's cab file is located in the R-22's Panel folder, not in the common Gauges folder. If I copy the R-22's cab into the Gauges folder it works fine, but that's not a good fix - I want the gauge to display for the end user. Since I can' legally redistribute the cab file - and it would be awkward to instruct the user to copy his existing one into his Gauges folder - is there a way to specify the path to the cab file?

Speciy a 'relative path' to the actual gauge's location:gauge08=....RotorcraftRobinson_R22Robinson_R22!RPM, 401, 388, 145, 145

Thanks, guys...that did the job. I went with Bill's relative path solution, in case the user has FS installed in a non-default location. The exact line that worked is:gauge08=....Robinson_R22panelRobinson_R22!RPM, 401, 388, 145, 145(BTW this is FSX - I forgot to specify.)
