Roman,No to be offensive but I am sorry if my comments, which were meant to be informative did not meet your approval. If you notice my reply was for Danny specifically. Next time I will keep my opinions to my self. Thank you very much.Regards,Richie1935

>Ritchie,>> No offence here. But i've seen you've made 3 total posts>since 2850 whatever zulu yesterday, EVER. And 2 have>criticized a "minimal" at the very least, problem with the>code... Red, Green, Yellow, Chartruese, Who cares?Roman,Although I've already read your apology, I feel the need to make several points of order anyway.First, Rich has been struggling for a long time to get an active registration here at AVSIM. I don't know the "how's or why's" about the difficulty, only that there was some difficulty. Finally, he's managed to "come on live" and......:-( Secondly, Rich is a retired avionics professional with many, many decades of experience with aircraft systems. Let's not be too quick to alienate such a terrific resource with what is -at root- a rather petty and insignificant issue. Finally, I've been working with Rich for many months now via email to help him polish up what will be a truly wonderful gift to the community. I've been helping with both his modeling (GMax) and programming (XML) skills. In addition, Rich has done some extensive alpha testing of some things I've been working on for commercial release, and has found numerous minor boo-boos (errors of commision and omission both) that somehow had escaped notice by Eaglesoft's experienced staff and existing real world pilot beta testors... :)Over the past six years I've learned a LOT from you Roman, and truly value your contributions to the community at large, and to me in particular. I truly hope that everyone will be able to say the same for Rich in another six years... :-beerchug

Again I throw my apologies in. The forum should not be a place to vent a personal problem and it attach it to something irrelivant. I hope Rich can accept it and join in fully. A coincidence too I could throw in. I too was trained for Avionics and Instruments at Spartan School of Aeronautics in 1998 -99. Never made it to a professional career. Was un-fortunate to become disabled just before starting at American Airlines. Now I just do consumer electronics where a disability doesn't hinder too much. Trying to lift a 27" TV from a wheelchair is a little difficult though.I just hope i didn't alienate Rich to the point of not being here. I really fell like :-hang. Again Sorry.RomanProud "TEAM AVSIM" RTW race member.XP Pro, FS9, FR Locked @ 23, AMD 1800+ OCd to 1900+, APIC MProc Mod (24 IRQs), Latency Mods, ECS K7S5a V1.1, 7 fans, 1 gig, 100 & 60 Gig 7200rpm HD, ASUS/NVidia GeForce 64mb AGP on 21", NVidia FX5500 vivo 256mb (CRAP) on 18", Nvidia 93.71s ( The highest can go for the GeForce3 & 5500 combined ), Savage4 32mb on 15", BV services mods

Roman,I can and will accept your apology as given. Sorry for the understanding and Bill I want to thank you for the wonderful words of praise for my assistance and hope the community will appreciate the efforts and work we are doing for their benefit. I know it will be enjoyable. My only reason for commenting on the gauge issue is developers use the words "as real as possible" and when I see something that is not within that realm I feel obliged to comment and note I say comment. I do not criticize others work as most is highly acceptable.I have been in the avionics industry since 1954 when I completed Air Force Airborne Radio/Navigation Course and was an avionics for 26 years then on to Lockheed for 17 more years including working on the L-100-500 aircraft all avionics systems, ending up as an Engineering Specialist, so you can see I do have knowledge and experience behind me.I will keep pressing on with the items I have been working on and only want the best for the flight sim community as they have provided many hours of enjoyment for me.Again apology accepted and have a great day to all.Regards,Richie1935 (Rich S.)

Rich.. I still feel like the southern end of a north facing cow..I'd like, if you want to hear some history too. I got into the area of electronics in 1972 ( age of 5 ) my great uncle passed and I got a hold of an old "FARMALL" radio ( my first ), it didm't work but.. my neighbor was a 'Sears' qualified TV tech. With a 3 giant tackle boxes of misc. tubes. We played a bit with it,,,, He gave up. I didn't. ( Didn't know any better either ) In the long run it finally started working as long as I didn't touch it with flesh.. HOT CHASSIS. I wish to this day I saved the wooden covering for it.. ( Still have the guts though ) TUBES rule!!!! And so does picking up European stations on a nice clear, cold night from 1500 miles away, while keeping warm by the glow of some Di, Tri, Pent - Ods....... My Father, now passed on, also ran the first "computer" in GB WI. He learned it when in the Air Force was in the "century" series: Brooks, Lackland AFB, San Antonio, TX. It was wire wrap transistor->transistor "can" type stuff. Basically XML in FS today LOL!!!! It was the IBM 700/800 series multi-room calculator with punch card input that he ran once out of the Air Force. I have many of his old manuals and guess what... It's RPN!!! Not a problem here though, got quite a bit of Polish blood. I love that stuff. Collect the classics. I have multi tubbed type stereos that blow away anything made today, out of sand. (Silicon) The one problem.. No remote controls. Keeps one in shape to get up and change something though.Well any way I'm rambling, just got done with 10+ hrs of watching #### wipe getting rolled up for customer use. Gotta make sure the IR doesn't give a 1, quality control-wise.And...Hopefully.. Maybe.... Yourself and Bill can re-create one of the really true classics, not underrated, but unreveired.... The L1011. There was never any better way to get Hawaii than a Delta 10-11. I could see that being a team effort of supreme quality. And once again, and couldn't say it enough.... Sorry. It was a bad day for me, and this was "NOT" the place to show it.RomanProud "TEAM AVSIM" RTW race member.XP Pro, FS9, FR Locked @ 23, AMD 1800+ OCd to 1900+, APIC MProc Mod (24 IRQs), Latency Mods, ECS K7S5a V1.1, 7 fans, 1 gig, 100 & 60 Gig 7200rpm HD, ASUS/NVidia GeForce 64mb AGP on 21", NVidia FX5500 vivo 256mb (CRAP) on 18", Nvidia 93.71s ( The highest can go for the GeForce3 & 5500 combined ), Savage4 32mb on 15", BV services mods.

Roman, Again - You have got it "spot on"!!!!I didn't think on that type of exchange of code. I did experiment with Bill's code also - and it helped me with another problem with another code I was working on.I had to laugh in happiness when I saw the new code work - Perfectly!!!Sorry to get back a little late, I had some work here had to catch up on.Thanks for all you do, as well as Bill and Tom who give so much to this forum as well as countless others. I really do appreciate the help and explanation for helping me learn this code. It is becoming my new hobby and I can see that some possibilities are (seems) endless.Best Regards,Dan
