BGL Files and Changing Coordunates FS2002

Recommended Posts

Guest Richard Hill

I have two questions...1. How can I find what BGL file's are needed to select for decompiling when edsiting an airport. For Example N 39:17'39.707 W 080:13'45.555 KCKB.2. Can one change the Shift+Z Coordinates to DD:MM'SS.SSSS from the default of DD:MM.SSSS.I know one could add a line to the .CFG in older FS versions but it is not mentioned in FS2002. Can anyone help me??????

I can answer the questions, but perhaps the scenery design forum might be a better place for these posts in the future...1) If you have FSNavigator and hover your mouse over something at the airport, it will tell you what scenery object it's in. For example, to find the BGL file containing the runways/taxiways, hover the mouse over the runway near the end. It will say in the popup something like: c:program filesmicrosoft gamesfs2002scenedbwesthemusnesceneryf2479478.bgl.2) In the [main] section of FS2002.CFG, make sure you have the following line: DISPLAY_FRACTIONAL_MINUTES=0Thomas LinTaxiwaySigns.com

Rob;As I was a M$FS user for more years than I might want to say, Yes I placed the line in the FS2002.CFG, last line in the "MAIN" with no effect. The CFG in the past had the different sections spaced by a blank line. OH well I will post it in the Scenery design and see if anyone has had any sucess..Thank you;Richard
