I guess this is new its from M$ its on zone.msn.flightsim sight.has anyone else tried this? What did you think? I thought it would be descent cuz its a 20+meg download...but I was less than impressed. I thought it would be like the fly-in w/lots of planes and tents...but not much added on at all...it did inspire me to start a new project...oshkosh.

You may want to check your settings and make sure they are turned all the way up... there's no way it's ever going to be as busy as the real thing, but there are lots of planes and tents on my system....I think they did a good job on this scenery.Derek

I`ve tried it. It`s nothing special, but it certainly is a framerate killer...

I don't think the it's a frame rate killer when compare what is on the ground. In fact, I didn't loose any frame rate. I think this scenery blends perfectly on my machine. And IMHO, I think it's one of the best sceneries out there.Julian

I agreeIts certainly very cleverly done - it doesn't have the intricate structure detail yyou would expect from an upper-end scenery, but it does have the perfect amount to create a very good "atmosphere" while not being over-the-top. The best thing i think about the sceney is the way it blends in perfectly with the surrounding defualt stuff - the use of ground textures, and the associated autogen is supeb. For a high-class scenery the framerates are magnificent - this can be attributed to both the use of framerate-friendly original buildings and textures, and a heavy reliance on fs2002-built-in features such as autogen to portray the scenery. Perhaps the only thing i think could be done better was the object textures - they are a little too low-resolution for my liking. But I think that about all default FS2002 object textures anyway, and i know this also contributes greatly to the frameratesanyway just my two centsJarrad
