DOS filenames are 8.3So a file with a name like 158774513Su.bmp is actually148774~1.bmp in DOS

I think the version of DOS that comes with the latest windows version (OK, that can not really be called DOS anymore :)) can also handle the longer filenames without problems.Arno

XP's Command Prompt handles LFN very nicely. It's funny that I still use it. :)
