Making a texture "tileable"

Recommended Posts

Guest

Does anyone know of a good way, in PhotoShop, to make a texture tileable. I am using it on custom terrain slices and need the edges to flow seemlessly, like the default textures. Is there an easy way to do this? Thanks

Hello, If you are using Photoshop 7 just cut and paste the tiles side by side. The flatten the layers of the tiles. Then use the healing brush set to normal, select anywhere in the middle of the grass texture as a source, then run the heal tool along the joins...the heal tool will then blend the line using the source to cover up the line created before, if sucessfull it will look like the grass I made, which is just lots ofsmall pieces joined up to make one large area!!!!
