Scenary , GMAX, and FPS...

Hello,Just a small question.I usualy have good frame rates, bloked at 27, with all add on. Recently, I have implemented some new scenery for RJAA and RJTT, in GMAX, but then the FPS dropped w

In general sceneries made with GMax give better framerates then sceneries made with the older tools. But adding a lot of detail will of course always reduce the fps. So it is normal that you get lower framerates when you add an addon scenery.You might want to check the readme file of the scenery, often it will have some comments on how to get optimal performance.Arno

use LOD models! Read the makemdl SDK to learn about LOD...Cheers, Christian

What Christian points at is for the scenery designer, while he makes the scenery.From your post I think you use a downloaded scenery, so it isn't of much help to you.Arno

Yes, it is downloaded scenery, but I instaled also the Swiss airport, and I do not have this drop in FPS, and it is not in GMAX. I I don't understand nothing in scenery, cause I have never looked into it, I would like someboddy to explain this to me.Thanks in advanceCpt Cyrille de Lattre
