Displaying photoreal with LandClass

Not to belabor the point too much ( I hope ).Here's some screenshots of the same texture displayed as a VTP Method 1 Poly. Both the single tile, and the quad.There's no autogen with this method ( although VTP Method2 with default has autogen ). And there is no alpha water.But there are advantages. The CUSTOM texture now has a controlable layer ( 4 in this case ), so roads, streams, lakes, shores... will show through. The CUSTOM or Landclass method kill all lakes and attempts to overlay VTP polys or lines. But using VTP methods allows us to add anything we want. In addition, the VTP displayed custom texture now will use alpha for transparent, if we convert it to 8-bit with alpha. And, the shape need not be square... we can cut out and use the portion we desire.A lot more flexible... at the loss of autogen ( I think it's lost :) ).Dick
