Beginners Landclass

Having just posted my first attempt at scenery creation (Bermuda) - created mainly with GMax. I now realise I need to become competent with Landclass to improve the overall effect of ground textures. Where and how should a beginner start ? Anyone recommend some suitable tutorials or should I just begin with Landclass Assistant ?BazElloughtonE Yorks, U.K.

Try Landclass Assistant! This tool is very easy to use (it comes with an easy to understand tutorial). Once you have figured out, which landclass suites the best for your purposes (this is a "trial and error" process and for me it is actually the most time consuming part of the work) it takes just a few minutes to upgrade smaller areas.
