Hi Chris.Any alpha transparency will display as water in a landclass BGL.You might be interested in this posting by 'jmf':VTP & Custom LandClass #252it discusses a method of displaying a CUSTOM texture as a VTP polygon, which does treat the alpha channel as transparent.Dick

Hi,I still wondering how ms placed the city, all the city bitmaps are 256x256 and the city fills the whole bitmap, but in FS they are rounded, and there are some filesnames who includes a M.Please see the examples, this is the city bitmap for class 30, and some sort of maskThe city bitmap name is 030b2su1The other bitmap name is 030b2m11Could this be some sort of transperant mask, but how does it work, its very long and small.

Hi Christian. These are masks the sim uses to blend groundtiles together. That process is still a mystery. CFS2 also used these blending masks.I don't know if masks of this type can be added to CUSTOM textures, but I doubt it. In CFS2 CUSTOM tiles are blended, in FS2002 it seems that is not allowed.Dick
