How to cut out windows from a wall?

Hi!I have a wall (for example a box). How can I cut holes (windows) in the sides of the box? Is it possible at all with GMAX?Bye,Ingo

Yup it is there are several ways to do it as well the best way is with a "compound object" done from splines that way you can get anyshape hole you want in your wall (see my attached pics) You could also do a boolean on your box as well. Dan

Hi DAn!Thanks for the reply, but pleas make it slow for me! I'm new to GMAX and all its possibilities.I created a box and a spline circle (as an example). Now what do I have to do to get a hole in the wall? Would be niche if you explained it a bit more detailed.Thanx and bye,Ingo

Don't make a box make a spline shape(rectangle) then un-check "start new shape" then simply create another shape inside say another rectangle and then simply extrude into 3D and voil

Thank you Dan! That was the way to go! I simply created a box and didn't extrude it from a spline. Now I've succeeded and can make a lot of windows!Great help!Bye,Ingo
