I thank you as well at least I can now get the right number of "fingers" on those piano keys! (the number of "fingers" tells a pilot how wide the runway is BTW) One question "moomox" can I getthe "striped" VFR runway markings with this method? Dan (very well done BTW!) Dan

So actually this runway is excluding autogen in a different way from a normal runway, right? This type (mapped polygons) exclude autogen in a rectangular area which has two of the sides going along the 360-degree direction. Runways have their "special feature" to exclude a certain boxed area beyond the ends of the runway, which I guess this kind of runway won't do. But on the other hand I would prefer the runway-exclude. I think it might be the best thing to do to divide the runway into several polygons (to make the excluded area as small as possible) that are put one after another.
