Hi Francis,I have some info about LOD calculations here:www.fs-traveler.com/gtopo-calc.htmlMy Resources page has a link to a simple excel spreadsheet you can download and experiment with as well. It needs a bit more testing but is quite useful as a learning tool as is. I think it works ok in your area :). Here is the data for your NW corner.http://ftp.avsim.com/dcforum/User_files/3e724cd639f80900.jpg Hope these are helpful.Steve

Hi Dick,A good calculator is useful if all you need is a number, but you can't learn or do much more with it.If you can use a spreadsheet, you can see how the calculations are done (and fix them if necessary). Once the process is understood, it can easily be extended to meet your own needs. For example, the version I use has a page that provides me with the coordinates I need to specify when requesting data from the USGS NED site. The image in my above post has disappeared so I'm including it again, as well as an image of a similar calculation using LODCalc, which seems to have a problem. (In case the images are not available - while coordinates were entered as being in the S/W hemisphere, the output is in the N/E hemisphere, so the the calculations are incorrect and the user can't fix it.)Steve

Hi Steve.Reclicking the N and W sliders will reset the bounds, then click calculate... it does sometimes "stick".Dick
