GeForce3 settings and cfg tweaks

Recommended Posts

Hi,I just got myself a geforce3 to pump up my old athlon 750 MHz (I got 384 MB of sdram). I was wondering what were the best settings for the card to work with FS2K2. I got a Sparkle card, and there isn't any tweaker program with it. Are the detonator drivers better? Do they include some kind of tweak programs? There is also something bothering me, especially when I fly at high altitudes, the scenery is blurry... well, some parts are, and some aren't. Anybody with the same problem? Is there a fix for that? How can the fs2002.cfg file be altered to give better results?Last question (and I'm done, I promise!): is there a way, for a given aircraft, to change the default virtual cockpit zoom value (because the default one is quite unpractical, nose on the dashboard kinda...)? I found how to do it fo the 2D panel, but I'm confused with the virtual cockpit...OK, I'm done. Thanks in advance to anybody who could enlighten me!Olivier

Yo my system spec is basically the same as ursAthlon 750Gf3 ti 500256SDRAMI'm using Detenator drivers 28.32 instead of 23.11, which i can see a noticable improvement.Available here: http://www.3dchipset.com/news.aspIf you've currently got older detenator files on your pc, make sure u use the detenator remover b 4 installing these 28.32 drivers. I'm using NVmax as my tweaker tool. I also use NVmax as an overclocking tool, i don't use the one that came with the card, as it seems to freeze up on me. There are links for this program somewhere on this forum, just search for it.Yep, blury textures, seems to be a major problem with me also i.e. the textures not refreshing quick enough to keep beyond the a/c. I believe the only thing that will fix this is by upgrading with a higher CPU and definetly more memory. At the moment it's basically trial and error tweaking. I would send u my cfg info, but i've been changing a few things around (i'm still tweaking lol).In VC use the keys "-" and "=" to zoom in and out. If you press "shift" with either of those, you will zoom more slowly. If u want to go higher it's something like "shift enter", "shift backspace" (one of the 2). Also pressing "Ctrl, shift, enter/backspace" moves u fore and aft (i believe). I might have these last few things round the wrong way, but try it and you'll find out. Will

I still have blurry textures with a Pentium IV-2.0, 768 RAM and a G4 Ti4600.MS are the only ones that can fix blurry textures. We are hopinh the SDK for Scenery will help us out on solving this issue.Tim

Cheers Tim, you've basically just answered another question of mine. Powerful computers do NOT fix the bluries! I thought so.I think i'll hold on the upgrade until this Scenery SDK comes outWill

Take a look at the "Fast Systems" page on my site (URL below) There is some info on tweaking GeForce3 cards there.
