Question Re: merging Sceneries.......2 Pics

Hi, I already released the beta for the scenery for Bogota, included is the Landclass, city Landmarks and the Airport, SKBO. http://forums.avsim.com/user_files/18598.jpghttp://forums.avsim.com/user_files/18599.jpgMost of the folks that have tried the beta have expressed their wish to have this scenario merged with the two available commercial South America sceneries, Latin American Airports, and Colombia 2003, how can I achieve that??What I need is to exclude all of the objects for an entire city, while keeping the objects of one of those sceneries in the rest of the country, so they can for example take off from bogota with mine and land in another city with the other scenery...Things got complicated as I developed also landclass and if I exclude an area, I will be affecting the Autogen info....Any Idea??Thanks.

Alfredo Mendiola LoyolaLima Peru

My spanish is weak so I only partly could understand caz's response. I'm sure he covered the details, but let me add a few ideas....wherever the different sceneries overlap is local conflict, right? But the conflict is only in those overlap areas. The goal then is to exclude the objects from every OTHER scenery besides yours...only in the overlap. right?A custom exclude placed in your scenery to exclude the overlap area will do the trick. This will ONLY work if your scenery is higher in the scenery library layers than the other commercial scenery.A custom exclude can be drawn using any of the gui tools...its also easy to write from scratch and compile directly with scasm. read topic 621 from May 18, 2002...I detailed how to write this file directly. All you need to do is to determine a pattern of rectangles that cover the overlap area. you may need more than one depending on the shape.Best,Bob Bernstein
