Airport for Windows - FSUIPC - FS2002 Interface

Recommended Posts

Guest Firestriker

The a26b165u.zip upgrade for Airport for Windows claims to interface with FS2002 via FSUIPC. I installed the upgrade after a full install of a26b146.zip. and have FSUIPC v2.88 running on Win2k and FS2002Pro.from the the FILE.DIZ"Airport v2.60 Upgrade to Build 165 This update improves the ability to position objects exactly. Airport now interfaces with FSUIPC to obtain the actual position in FS"AFCAD works fine for me, but no joy with Airport. Has anyone had any luck getting this to work? If so perhaps you can tell me what you did or where to find out how to make it work.

First, Start FS2002 or whatever FS you are using to the airport your are making or modifying. Select Options, Settings, General, and Uncheck Pause on task switch, then return to fs2002.Second, Start AFW, load the file you have for the airport you are making or modifying. Find the area of the airport you are at presently in the FS and center/zoom to that area.Third, Select AFW View menu, select Flight Sim Position via FSUIPC. You should now have a circle with a cross at the aircraft location.Fourth, Move the aircraft in the FS with slew, or set the lat/lon via the map view. You should then see a succession of circle/crosses. To delete the succession of circles/crosses, deselect the Flight Sim Position via FSUIPC in AFW. To see the last position, reenable the selection.LASTLY, NEVER exit AFW with the Flight Sim Position via FSUIPC enabled. It will cause problems restarting AFW.For more information visit the AFW forum at www.flightsim.com.
