FSDS2 Seasonal Help

Recommended Posts

How does one set textures for seasonal viewing? In FSDS, we had two boxes; One was for night and the other was seasonal. The ending for seasonal was _wi, _su, etc. I only see settings for you to pick one and one only. What am I missing? Thank folks!! :)Don

Hi Don!You won't believe it but this is one of the few things that are worse than it was in 1.6. So far, I haven't found better solution (okay, usually I need only winter texture and non-winter texture) than to insert to texture list all sets then copy the part with seasonal textures as many times as You need seasons and then put in pre-process conditions to show only at specified season. This is really tedious especally if You have some weird shae and everytime correct attachment of bitmap to polygon... hmm.. I think I must write this to tech support or to the author.Best regards,Goran BrumenFS Slovenija 2002 teamhttp://slovenia.avsim.net

I think Goran idea is the best. I think you can also place the seasonal check only around the Material command, then you don't need to copy the polygon code all the time.

If the world should blow itself up, the last audible voice would be that of an expert saying it can't be done.
