Can I copy the FS4 scenery files

to fs2. I thought I read that some people did this and found the scenery copmpatible and working great.What would be the procedure and who has tried?Mb

Humm, do you want to copy files from Fs4 to Fs2? I think there are not that many people around here still using it. I am not sure if the formats are the same as well.

That takes me back.. BAO Hawaii, Tahiti and the Californian set of three floppies.. :)And the Grand Canyon of course, West Europe Scenery Disk and finally Great Britain on three floppies..Was it really ten years ago?I don't think any of these would have worked in FS2 - it only had a four color palette..Methinks you've abbreviated your FS version descriptions too much..boneshttp://fsaviation.net

Hi,FS4 can even run under Windows XP, honestly! Under Windows 98 I think there shouldn't be any problems.I never saw FS2 in action, I started with Flight Simulation by PSION on ZX Spectrum, the next one was FS3 for Atari ST and a little bit later for PC. Speaking of downward compatibility from Fs4 to FS2 I think that maybe it is somewhat compatible, but usually downward compatibility is not guaranteed. In every new format, there are some additions that are not compatible with previous version... It doesn't cost You much just to try merging those scenery files, maybe You should need to change extension only (I think in FS4 times BGLs weren't bgl's but something else, I don't remember).
