May 8, 200224 yr Most forums these days seem to be very hostile environments. I guess if it's like these ones then no one is game to post anything. It appears that the most innocous questions or comments incite all sorts of hostile responses at the moment.Dave
May 8, 200224 yr David,You are right. I have a theory as to why this is happening, but it is only that.I think we are more dependent upon Flight Sim to help us escape from the ever mounting pressures in the world (social, economic, etc.).When we are in the least dissatified with something (even a simple, virtual airplane no less) we go mad. I guess many people out there have NO other escapes.I recommend that they start developing their own planes, etc. That way, the challenge will more than provide an "escape". My wife, however, theorizes that too many Flight Simmers, as well as other nice people, are mixing drug use with our hobby ... and that it is manifesting itself as such. She is probably right ... but then, it could be a combination of these.
May 8, 200224 yr You could be right Bob.Also, the power of anonymity also contributes to giving some individuals "louder" voices than would normally be the case. The current trend is not only disturbing, but also sad that such a great hobby is becoming so ruthless and blood thirsty.Dave
May 8, 200224 yr Well actually I was more interested in any news concerning the anticipated release with fsMeteo support. How did you all get on this subject. (-: .Im sure you can find the blood thirsty threads but I tend to avoid them and look for the ones that offer support and information that lends itself to the learning and enjoyment of the Flight sim.Like the wise one said "be indifferent and they will go away"BobG
