help needed with scenery object

Recommended Posts

Guest avinaya123

I made a house with gmax.the house and the texture come out fine in fs2004 but when i go near it disappears and when i go far it reappears again.why is this happening. While creating a bgl file i have kept the draw diastance at 10,000 and the scenery complexity at normal.

Which gamepack are you using? I assume you are using the Fs2002 gamepack? And how did you place your object, directly from GMax or with a macro?

Normally this is a problem with the v2 value, but GMax should calculate that correct for you if you export directly to a BGL file.Is your house maybe far from the 0,0 point in GMax? It is better to center your objects around this point.

maybe you are right because i may have moved the house far from the centre to match it with the location in fs2004.i will try the change and let you know. Thanks a lot.

It is better to place the house at 0,0 always and then enter the correct coordinates when you export. That way it will also appear at the correct location. As the 0,0 point is placed at the coordinates you enter.
