Editing Default FS Scenery?

Can you import default FS2004 scenery into GMAX or any other product and edit it?Thanks,Steve

Not really.The only option is to load an airport in AFCAD and then you can alter the runways, taxiways and that sort of things.But all other elements of the scenery can not be loaded into a program and edited.The normal way of editing scenery is to make an exclude to remove what you don't think and then place new scenery the way you want it.

What about directly converting the scenery to 3DS format? Is there any way to do this?Steve

Nope, there are only converters from GMax to FS, nothing the other way around.
