I belong to a small VA In Aussie,but rather large Worlwide,"NoblAir"and owing to the departure of some talented people we no longer have access to painters..Scenery and terrain specialists and i decided to take the job on as i have a little time on my hands,but i dont think i am particularly gifted and i need a Mugs guide to scenery design and painting etc. I paid for FS Architect 2002 but am afraid it may be wrong for 2004,in my defense it did state 2004 aspects,but was not aware of any difficulties with it,we all have 2004 FS. Its tutorial is mainly aimed at the converted and not this Mug,i have downloaded FSDK but not sure there where to start, i need a basic area to start, a push in the right direction, thanks in anticipation for your consideration,Patrick NobleAir 5135.Learn CPR

The first question is probably what kind of scenery you want to design? It makes a lot of difference if you want to design 3D objects, airport layouts, modify coast lines, etc. Each of these activities have their own tools, tips and tricks.

Thanks for your reply,well the first job we want to design is a NobleAir gate for Add on Scenery at YSSY and YMML,just a start in the right direction would be great,i have the Gmax gear,with Adobe CS as well MX Flash,etc etcLearn CPR

If you want to design some gates then GMax is a very good tool to use.You write you already have GMax, does that mean that you already know a bit how to work with it? If not you can best start by reading the tutorials that came with GMax and the tutorial that MS provided in the SDK. With these you should be able to get your building work going :).
