Autogen density: FS8 and FS9 compared.

Recommended Posts

Guest mtom

Hi all.Was wondering whether someone might be able to clear up something for me about auotogen in FS8 and FS9.I understand that the autogen density is higher in FS9 (as compared to FS8), but I'm not quite sure why. I'm not sure whether it's because the ground tile annotation is more complex, or that FS9 allows more autogen to be displayed within the pilot's field of view. I suspect it's the latter, but it'd be nice if someone could confirm my thoughts on the matter.Anyone got any ideas?Cheers,Matthew.

FS8 like FS9 autogen is limited to 300 buildings per square kilometer and 600 trees per square km. One square km is defined by an area of LOD 13.
