Trying to get EOD to work on my new computer

Recommended Posts

Hi Folks- I recently upgraded to an AMD 4000 computer with an Nvidia 6800, and windows XP(home). I installed EOD and clicked on the EOD.exe to do some work and I get 4 Error messages in succession: ---Error in Main: ActiveX component can't create object. Debug information:File System Object(SCRRUN.DLL?) ---Error in Main: Object required Debug information: Object pictures installation ---Error in Main: Object required Debug information: Move data files (installation) ---Runtime Error 424 Object required I went to Microsoft.com and checked out ActiveX but there are so many ActiveX downloads to choose from. not sure which one I need. I also downloaded "SCRRUN.DLL" from Google and installed it in the main "Windows" folder of C-Drive, but I still get the same error message. Is it possible that EOD might not be compatible with some of the newer computers and if so is there a "Patch" I can download to make it work? Thanks Ken

Don't know if this helps or not, but I have Windows XP (SP2) and a Nvidia 6800 and EOD works fine for me! Be glad to answer any specifics about what else I have.
