http://usa.autodesk.com/adsk/servlet/index...5&siteID=123112I'm surprised this hasn't been mentioned at Avsim or Flightsim.com; at least not that I came across.It is being discussed at a couple of other support forums for programs which use Gmax like Neverwinternights and Trainz.Ii would be nteresting to hear Microsoft's take and the impact upon future versions of FS.

FS is just a hobby for most users. We don't want to purchase expensive professional tools like 3DS, because most add-ons we produce are freeware.What about this:http://www.blender.orgAn open source full featured 3D modeler, animator, etc.Freeware!Just need an exporter to FS, and bye bye gmax, farewell!Emerson
