Changing Desert Like Textures - problem ?

Recommended Posts

Hi Dick,I'm sorry to keep going on about this but your second screenshot looks like winter textures *not* fall textures. You can even see that the airport skirting in your first shot is greener than in the second, meaning the first shot seems to have been taken during fall and the second during winter.Anyway, I don't think the cache is documented or accessible. Instead, those textures simply get loaded into RAM and remain there until one jumps to a different region or season. Obviously, for frequently needed textures it makes sense to keep them in memory though I'd agree that the process appears to be somewhat "clingy" ;-) Nevertheless, your color adjustments or replacements should work as intended, just like the changes worked in my example shown above.Cheers, Holger

Well !!! Looks like not only was I dumb I was wrong. Apparently Winter begins November 1 in this area. However I just could not grasp that. I was fixated on the more exotic with a touch of paranoia. My nasty litle red tiles now appear when I am pushed and prodded to change a WI Winter texture. All of my exotic fantasy theories are heading for the dustbin. Thanks for all of your patience.......Tegards,Dick Boley going greenhttp://forums.avsim.net/user_files/161446.jpg
